This dissertation entitled ‘The Development of the Performance Efficiency of Thai Police At the Station in Nonthaburi Province Based on the Buddhist Integration’ has three objectives: 1) to study the concepts and theories in improving and developing the provincial polices’ efficiency of performance of duty, Nonthaburi province, 2) to study the problems in performing their duty and the integration of Buddhadhamma into the development of the provincial polices’ efficiency of performance of duty, Nonthaburi province, and 3) to present the development process of the provincial polices’ efficiency of performance of duty based on the Buddhist integration, Nonthaburi province. This is a mixed method research done by studying Tipiṭaka, related academic works and field research; interview of 10 Buddhist scholars and police commandants including 10 police officers.

             In the research, it was found that the concepts and theories applied into the development of the provincial polices’ efficiency of performance of duty are chiefly concerned with the effectiveness improvement; the cost, the resource and the time should be reduced in order to have the effectiveness. In doing these, the input, process and output should be carefully considered; the ability to meet the goal should be made through the less consumption of all resources. Generally, the concepts and theories concerning the efficiency basically refer to the performance. It is a well-known fact that man becomes the crux in measuring such the effectiveness serving like primary sources for the development of the organization’s effectiveness if staff’s effectiveness is required. It is necessary for the administrators to study personal data so that they can be examined where the effectiveness development can be aimed at. With respect to this, the administrative principle named PAPOSDCORB should be taken into account by the help of 4 M, man, money, materials, and management.

             In this research, four types of problems faced by the provincial polices, Nonthaburi province, were found as follows: problem of police officers; their knowledge is not specialized and the numbers of police officers are not enough to the rising numbers of population, problem of equipment; the existing equipment is outdated and not enough, problem of budget; the salary, daily allowance and other budget are limited, problem of organizational administration; there is no continuation of administration due to changing position of administrators leading to changing policy. In this respect, the following concepts can be applied to solve the mentioned problems, RBM (Results Based Management), or it can be named the management leading to the effectiveness and PDCA principle: P = Plan Planning D = Do the steps C = Check inspection operations, A = Action to rectify the problem. Furthermore, the concepts and theories for self –development and the Royal Thai police department strategies can be integrated into Buddhadhamma so as to develop the provincial police officers’ efficiency of performance of duty as follows :

             1) Problem of police officers; the effectiveness can be improved through the following Dhammas: four paths accomplishment; will, effort, thoughtfulness and investigation, four bases of social solidarity; giving, kindly speech, useful conduct and even and equal treatment, four noble truths; suffering, cause of suffering, cessation of suffering and the way leading to the cessation of suffering, principle of moral shame and moral dread and six qualities leading to the attainment of greatness and full development in wholesome states.

             2) Problem of budget; four bases of social solidarity, giving, kindly speech, useful conduct and even and equal treatment can be applied to improve the effectiveness.

             3)Problem of equipment; four bases of social solidarity, giving, kindly speech, useful conduct and even and equal treatment can be applied to improve the effectiveness.
