The purpose of this research are 1. To study the work performance according to the Four Iddhipāda principlesof personnel of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, 2. To compare the work performance according to the Four Iddhipāda principles of the personnel classified by personal factors and 3. To study the problems and suggestions in work performance according to the Four Iddhipāda principlesof the personnel.
The researcher has used mixed method research 1) Quantitative research which includes 353 personnel of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University as the samples.The research tools used for data collectionwerequestionnaireswith index consistency between 0.80 – 1.00 and the confidence value equal to 0.97. Data analysis by finding the frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation (S.D.),
T-test, F-test and one way ANOVA. 2) Qualitative research the tools used for data collection including interview form by interviewing the 7 administrators of the university. Data analysis by analyzing the contentand composing into each item.
The result of the research found that
1. Work performance according to the Four Iddhipāda principles of the personnel was overall, at the highest level, at the average of (X̅=4.34), standard deviation (S.D. 0.60). When considered into each items found that Chanda (intention) at (X̅=4.50), Viriya (Effort) (X̅=4.38), Citta (Consciousness) (X̅=3.48) and Vīmaṃsā (Investigation) (X̅=3.42), respectively.
2. The comparison of work performance according to the Four Iddhipāda principles of the personnel of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University having different gender, age and positions has performed their work according to the Four Iddhipāda principles with statistically significant difference at the level of 0.05 then the hypothesis of the research was accepted.
3. The problems in work performance of the personnel are as the following: 1) not understanding the rules, regulations and announcements of the university 2) Commute to work. 3) lack of team work 4) Working is still attached to the person and documents,some are also to bureaucratic system. 5) There are too many steps for working process. 6) lack of motivation to work.
4. Suggestions for working performance of the personnel are as the following: 1) build understandingstoward rules, regulations and announcements of the university. 2) Increase more shuttle busto commute to work. 3)Working by building team 4) Create understandingsin work without being attached to person and documents. 5) Reduce steps in working process. 6) Creating motivation in work by increasing welfare in various things to personnel. 7) Establishing norms or rules of work clearly. 8)Promoting personnel dare to think, speak and doing in a creative way. 9) Must instill the Iddhipāda principles to the personnel of the centraluniversity and boththe campuses and colleges, and increaseworking skills to encourage the personnel to be enthusiastic in performing work and achieving according to the objectives of the university’s policies and plan.
