Abstract

The objectives of this research were as follows : 1) to study Buddhist administration leadership characteristics, 2) to create Buddhist administration leadership development model of lower northern Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya university administrators and 3) to evaluate Buddhist administration leadership development model of lower northern Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya university administrators. This study used mixed method research between quantitative and qualitative research. Quantitative research collected data from questionnaire consisted of 235 samples. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and qualitative research collected data from 18 key informants / structured interview and group discussion with 10 experienced, and analyzed by content analysis technique.

The research finding revealed that:

1. The Buddhist administration leadership characteristics of lower northern Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya university administrators was high in total. When considered in the details in each aspect, it was found that in high level at all aspects such as the staffing management is the most. Second, the organizing, controlling, directing and planning aspects.

2. Buddhist administration leadership development model of lower northern Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya university administrators such as :

 

2.1 Planning : 1) Encourage administrators to have a vision for university planning to be flexible, able to clearly see the direction or goals of the organization. (Cakhumā), 2) Practical training for administrators development to have skills in making the university's development plan (Vidhuro), 3) Management training to have good human relations can motivate the staff to work together as a team of unity (Nissāyasāmpañño).
