The aims of this documentary and qualitative research were: 1) to study the principles of cultural tourism management; 2) to study the cultural tourism management principles of Sukhothai Historical Park; 3) to study the cultural tourism management model in Sukhothai Historical Park.

                 The research results were as follows; the principles of cultural tourism management composed of 1) attraction of the sites that motivate the tourists to visit the sites; 2) facilities that can facilitate tourism comfortably; 3) the tourism site access by the travel instructional guidelines of the guides or staff.

                 The management of the cultural tourism is conducted based on the provincial development plan (2561-2564 B.E.) with the vision to be the city of the world heritage, commerce, innovation of civilization and sustainable happiness as follows: 1) creating the functioning map of the park and the development plan in short and long terms;  2) creating the database of the attractions within the park on the information system; 3) in terms of personnel management, all the personnel of the park should be trained and developed in the aspects of tourism and ethics. Importantly, the management of the park should be involved by participation the communities nearby to preserve the national heritage.
