This study entitled “A Study on the Role of Phrasiriphattanaporn (Sommai Jotipuñño) in Buddhism Propagation towards Social Development following the Ideology of Paendin-Dhamma Phaendin-Thong in Ubon Ratchathani Province” includes 3 objectives as the followings: 1) To study the concept of the ideology of Paendin-Dhamma Phaendin-Thong (Dhamma Land Golden Land); 2) To study the role in Buddhism propagation of Phrasiriphattanaporn (Sommai Jotipuñño) towards social development following the ideology of Paendin-Dhamma Phaendin-Thong in Ubon Ratchathani Province; and 3) To analytically study the role in Buddhism propagation of Phrasiriphattanaporn (Sommai Jotipuñño) towards social development following the ideology of Paendin-Dhamma Phaendin-Thong in Ubon Ratchathani Province. This study research is a qualitative field research by interviewing the academics and a group of monks at the practitioner level with the total number of 27 monks/persons.

             The results of this research found that the ideology of Paendin-Dhamma Phaendin-Thong is from the First Royal Commitment of King Rama 9 “We shall reign in righteousness for the benefits and happiness of Siamese people.” focusing on the balanced development of the country by integrating spiritual, social and economic aspects.
