Abstract
The aims of this research were: 1) to study the administrative effectiveness based on good governance in Phrapariyatti Dhamma Schools, General Education Group 9, under National Office of Buddhism; 2) to compare the administration effectiveness based on the samples’ factors; 3) to present the ways to promote the administration according to the good governance in the schools. The samples of this research were 386 of the administrators and teachers in the studied area, sized by Stratified Random Sampling and Simple Random Sampling. The tool used was a questionnaire with its reliability value of .97. The statistics used to analyze the data were: Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, f-test, Scheffe’s method. The target group used in the qualitative research included 15 of the school administrators and teachers, selected by Purposive Sampling; the tool used in this process was an interview form to obtain the data before the content analysis was used to find the conclusion.
The research results were as follows:
1) The statistic scores of the administration effectiveness based on the good governance in the studied schools in overall and each aspect perspectives were at a moderate level; the highest was that of ‘Morality’, followed by that of ‘Cost’, ‘The Rule of Law’, ‘Administrative Effectiveness’, ‘Responsibility’, ‘Transparency’; the least can be seen in that of ‘Participation’.
2) Based on the comparison, the statistic scores of the administration effectiveness based on the good governance in the studied schools, classified by the samples’ education in overall and each aspect perspectives were different with the statistical significance level of.05. Classified by their positions and experiences, the scores were indifferent.
3) The ways to promote the administration according to the good governance in the schools are as follows: 1) for the administration according to the rule of law, the schools should operate the academic affairs based on the government regulations in order to raise the respect in the law and fairness; 2) for the effectiveness of the administration according to the morality, the administrators should do their work according to the morality; honesty, generosity, support of personnel development, honest and transparent financial management which can be assessed in all processes; the administrators should pay attention to the public relations in the community; 3) for the administration effectiveness according to the transparency, the schools should join hands with other institutions in educational development; 4) for the administration effectiveness according to the participation principles, the schools should give an opportunity for the staff, public and stakeholders to join the school planning and educational developing; 5) for the administrative effectiveness based on the responsibility, the administrators should give the personnel encouragement to do their works; 6) for the administrative effectiveness according to the cost, the administrators should be diligent to manage the administrative system and constantly develop the organizations based on the personnel capacity and skills.
