Aabstract
The aims of this research were: 1) to study the application of IV Iddhipada dhamma (Pāli: iddhipāda, path of accomplishment) in the educational administration in the basic education schools; 2) to compare the applications of IV Iddhipada, classified by the samples’ personal factors; 3) to study the ways to promote the mentioned application in the research area. The samples of this research included 326 of educational administrators and teachers, determined by Krejcie and Morgan method and selected by stratified random sampling. The research tool was a questionnaire with its reliability value of .97. The statistics used in data analysis were: Frequency, Percentage, Mean, t-test, f-test and Scheffe’s method. The target group used in the qualitative research included 18 of school administrators and teachers, selected by purposive sampling; the interview form was used to obtain the data in this process.
The research results were as follows:
1) The mean score of the application of IV Iddhipada dhamma in the educational administration in the basic education schools was at a high level; the highest score can be seen in the aspect of ‘general affairs administration’, followed by ‘budget management’, ‘academic administration’ and ‘personnel administration’ respectively.
2) Based on the comparison, the statistic scores of the application of IV Iddhipada dhamma in the educational administration in the basic education schools, classified by the samples’ positions and education were indifferent; classified by their work experience, the scores were different with the statistical significance level.
3) The ways to promote the mentioned application in the research area were: 1) the goals, quality of the students, a plan, the clear method of operation should be carefully set, and 2) the careful consideration should be given to the best use of the budget; 3) the capacities of the personnel should be analyzed before assigning them duties; 4) the personnel should be diligent and responsible in their duties.
