Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis was to study the strengthening virtues conducive to benefits in the present for leading a live of Cambodian workers in Bangrak, Bangkok, and study the problems, troubles and proposed solutions to improve the quality of life of Cambodian workers in Bangrak, Bangkok. This research was a quantitative study. The population samples were 384 Cambodian workers in Bangrak, Bangkok, and simple random sampling was used for this research. The instrument used in this research was a questionnaire constructed by the researcher.

The results were found that the strengthening virtues conducive to benefits in the present for leading a life of Cambodian workers in Bangrak, Bangkok. The level of diligence in research was more, they were diligent (Utthanasampada) in doing business in every fashion and had the goal and intention to do their best. Moreover, they also learned at all times, to be responsible for the duty assigned, not be exhausted with any obstacles and not hope for only the holy blessings. In aspect of respecting property (Arakkhasampada), was found that the Cambodian workers knew to keep working or studying. They also cherished the tools, saved little by little, kept possessions in a safe place, away from danger, and kept and manage money reasonably.

In aspect of associating a good friendship (Kalyanamittata), they told their friends not do evil.  When their friends had any trouble, they could help them. They should be praised. When their friends were suffering, they also suffered. When their friends had a happy time, they felt happy. They selected to associate with good and moral friends and not to bring friends in the wrong way.

In aspect of leading living sustainably (Samajivita), they pay for food, clothing, home furnishings, based on their earning. They also controlled the spending appropriately, used the property usefully for living properly,kept saving for future benefits, enjoyed the available resources, and had the happiness based on the available resources.
