Abstract

This thesis is aimed to 1) study the belief of ManakPrakanong whom people respect to perform religious practices in Mahabut Temple, and2) study problems, troubles, and suggest for the belief of people who prayed to ManakPrakanong at MahabutTemple , Bangkok.

          The samples were examined from 145 people who prayed to ManakPrakanong during 10-16 January 2018. The research tools were questionnaires which the researcher created. Coefficient of reliabilitywas .9066. Statistics which were used in this research were basic analysis statistics such as percentiles, means and standard deviation. Statistics which use for studying purpose of research namely T-dependent, Analysis of Covariance: ANOVA in case ofindependent variables are more than three. When the researcher found the significant difference,Different Paired Comparison was utilized by Least Significant Difference. The results following the purpose were found that almost all people believedin the basic belief levelsofManakPrakanong whom they respected to perform religious practices at Mahabut Temple in Bangkok.

Second,they believe in love, believe in blessings and believe infortune consequently.

          The factors impacting the belief of ManakPrakanong whom people respected to perform religious practices at Mahabut Temple was not different for relationship based on individual belief and imagination. Almost all people believed in ghosts, spirits, deities and holy powers for a long time which make people believe in stories of ManakPrakanong. Personal factors in that are gender, age,education background, career, median income, which were different for the belief of ManakPrakanongwere found the difference at the statistically significant level of 0.05.

          Almost all people believed in ghosts, spirits, deities and holy thing powers for long time ago which they also believed in the stories of MaenakPrakanong. Therefore, they believed that ManakPrakanong could inspire love, wealth and free from being drafted into military servicefor men who did not want to be soldiers, or etc. where ManakPakanong statue is located. Almost all people appliedBuddhist moral principles, namely donation, a precept and meditation mixing with the belief of ManakPrakanong to performing religious practices. They prayed and donated to support the temple for performing religious practices to obtain their peaceful mind.

          1.) The total the basic belief level was extremely well (x=4.48). When each criteria were considered, the researcher found thateach detail indicated extremely well. People needed to perform religious practicesfor relying on. Therefore, they prayed to MaenakPrakanong.

          2) The total belief of love level was extremely well(x=4.32).When each criteria were considered, the researcher found that each detail responded extremely well. People prayed to MaenakPrakanong for love. They also believed that ManakPrakanong made them satisfied in love when they prayed.

          3. The total believe of blessing level was extremely well (x=4.08). When each criteria were considered, the researcher found that each detail was indicated extremely well. People need something for relying on. Therefore, they prayed MaenakPrakanong to make them satisfied.

        4.The total believe of vowing fortune was extremely good (x=4.32). When each criteria were considered, the researcher found that each details was indicated extremely good. People who prayed to MaenakPrakanong were inspired to be confident because when they prayed to ManakPrakanong, they believed that they received blessings which would make them ready to live their life withmore wealth and confidence.
