Abstract

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this thesis was to study the practice ofWays of Making Meritin Buddhists Scriptures. The case study for Buddhism at Bangna-nok Temple,featured problems, troubles,and solutions.The method of this thesis was Quantitative Research. The researcher used simple random sampling for 341 Buddhists of Bangna-nok Temple.

The research found that the Buddhists of Bangna-nok Temple practicing in overview wasmore ( =4.33). Observation in each field was found that the level of Buddhists of Bangna-nok Temple for giving alms wasmore ( =4.41), research in deeper criteria found that the level ofBuddhists of Bangna-nok Temple suggesting other to make a merit in overview was most ( =4.33). The levelof observing the precepts in overall wasmore. The levelof being honest to their spousesand not stealingsteal others spouses for oneself was more. The level of meditation in overview was more ( = 4.20).

    Examination in each criteria was found that the Buddhist constituents have attended activities of the temple for observing the Eight Precepts and practice meditation based on Buddhist principles.Theknowledge and comprehension of the Way of Making Meritfor Buddhistsat Bangna-nok Temple was found that Buddhists of Bangna-nok Temple hadknowledge and understood the bases of the meritorious action principle. There were 341 respondents answering correctly (100%), and the most wrong answer was that giving money was the best giving alms based on Buddhist principle. The percentage of wrong answers was 17.9% and percentage of correct answers was 82.1%.
