Abstract
This thesis aimed to (1) study public welfare principle in Theravada Buddhist Scriptures, (2) study Buddhadhamma relating to public welfare of the monastic order in Thungkhru district, Bangkok and (3) study the application of Buddhadhamma in public welfare of the monastic order in Thunghkru district, Bangkok. This research methodology was qualitative method and field work with interview. The results were found that
The monastic order in Thungkhru district, Bangkok operated public welfare for developing community and socialites with applying of crucial Buddhadhamma which were namely Principles of Service, States of Conciliation and Sublime States of Mind etc., to assist people, communities and socialites with a main purpose to let the order to assist people who are in trouble as the crucial principle. Assisting people in communities and socialites should be operated appropriate and also build relationship among home, temple and school to develop quality of life for people both minds and bodies which are things , to make balances among bodies, speeches and minds which the temple or monks are the main leaders to assist communities in any models aiming to develop minds, quality of life, communities and socialites, and cultural art preservation for making the happiness and progress of people, socialites and nation.
