Abstract
This thesis has objectives 1) to study the Health of The Elderly in The Tha ItCommunity, Wat Sangsiritum Nontaburi and 2) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions. The researcher collected the questionnaire data from the sample using the random sampling from the Elderly in Tha It Community, Wat Sangsiritum, Nontaburiprovince with the total amount of 327 persons. The research tool is the questionnaire with the coefficient of reliability equals to 0.86. The statistics used are Descriptive Statistics and Inferential Statistics.
For the results of this research, it has been found that the intellectual well-being (mean = 4.00) and the social well-being (mean = 3.73) are in high level. For the physical well-being (mean = 3.47) and the mental well-being (mean = 3.40) are in the middle level. By considering on each aspect, it was found that the physical well-being showed the satisfaction in the elders at the moment which stated in the highest level (mean = 4.65). For the mental well-being, they felt satisfied in life (such as happiness, calmness, hope) which stated in the highest level (mean = 4.77). For the social well-being, they felt satisfied with the assistance from their friends which stated in the high level (mean = 4.32). For the side of intellectual well-being, which means to be able to understand that everything is impermanent, uncertain and changeable always, stated in the high level (mean = 4.92). However, the difference between the well-being levels in the elders was found that the male elders had higher mean than the female elders in 3 sides which were the physical well-being and the intellectual well-being as it did different statistically significant at the 0.05 level. The mental well-being as it did not different statistically significant at the 0.05 level. The female elders had higher mean than the male elders in 1 side which was the social well-being as it did different statistically significant at the 0.05 level.
