Abstract
Objectives of the study were 1) to analyze the characteristics of happiness of working in the organization; 2) to synthesize the elements of happiness in working in the organization based on Buddhist Psychology; and 3) to propose the construction model of happiness of working in organization based on Buddhist Psychology. The study was a mixed method research between a qualitative research and quantitative one in nature. An in-depth interview was used for collecting qualitative data from 17 key informants and a questionnaire was used for collecting quantitative data from 640 samples of Police Cadets by multi-stratified sampling method. A content analysis was used for analyzing qualitative data and quantitative data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and the size of direct and indirect effects was examined by LISREL program.
Results of the study were as follows:
1. In respect of the analysis of the characteristics of happiness of working in the organization it found that it comprised variables influencing happiness of working in the organization including 1) the building up of happiness based on Buddhist Psychology; 2) factors for success; 3) factors for help; and 4) happiness of working in the organization. 2. Regarding the synthesis of the elements of happiness in working in the organization based on Buddhist Psychology it revealed that there were 16 elements: 1) Good Family; 2) Generosity; 3) Self-development; 4) Prudence; 5) Giving; 6) Consistency; 7) Non-attachment; 8) Responsibility; 9) Good communication; 10) Good example; 11) Financial discipline; 12) Relationship; 13) Pride; 14) Diligence; 15) Morality; and 16) Good health.
3. With regard to the construction model of happiness of working in organization based on Buddhist Psychology it found that the happiness of working in organization got the direct effect from the building up of happiness based on Buddhist Psychology and factor for success, whereas the indirect effect from the building up of happiness based on Buddhist Psychology from the building up of happiness based on Buddhist Psychology indirectly influenced the happiness of working in organization via the factor for help that was higher than the direct effect. This indicated that the factor for help was only variable making the human happier in working in organization and the variable for building up happiness based on Buddhist Psychology needed the factor for help as its passing variable making the human happier in working in organization, at the same time the factor for success could have effected on the human’s happier working in organization without any passing variables.
