Abstract
This Research paper has 2 objectives; to study the Dhamma Principles in Adanta-agutta Sutta and to study the Vipassana Meditation methods appear in Adanta-agutta Sutta by collecting information from Buddhist scriptures Tipitaka, commentaries and other concerned documents. All these data are brought to compose in descriptive style and to be checked by experts, findings were that.
Adanta-agutta Sutta is a discourse that the Buddha delivered to Bhikkhus at Savatthi. It presents the six bases of contact as follows: 1) The eye as a base for contact, 2) The ear as a base for contact, 3) The nose as a base of contact, 4) The tongue as a base of contact, 5) The body as a base of contact, 6) The mind as a base of contact. When the couples of internal base for contact and external base for contact conjoin together, it connected to the specific perception of sense base which is called consciousness, it is the perception of the feeling. The sense-impression is one of perception that occur at mind and known by mind. The sense-impression is a factor to feel pleasant feeling
(Sukha-vedanã) unpleasant feeling (Dukkha-vedanã) neither pleasant nor unpleasant feeling (Upekkhã-vedanã) depends on the emotions that conjoin to the mind and occurred some merit mind or some evil mind.
Practicing Vipassana Meditation in Adanta-agutta Sutta, the practitioner has to control the six bases for contact uses mindfulness and consciousness to determine the feeling that affect the present moment in order to realize the truth, and unpleasant in form, sound, odor, taste, tangible objects, mind object, which the factors rely on each embellishments occurred. This perception is in the steps of Paccaya-pariggaha-ñãna. When mindfulness continually determined, the mindfulness is capable of determining the Rũpa and the Nãma clearly. The practitioners will relieved of the sensual pleasures or five houses, these are form, sound, odor, taste, tangible objects and lead to the way of ordination. But for whom have mental diffusion, craving, pride, view will be still in circle. The well-trained practitioner will always see the state of the Rũpa and the Nãma all the time, it occurred maintained and gone down being ordinary. The practitioners can decrease lust, hatred, craving, and get rid of defilement until insight-knowledge occurred and know the real natural phenomenon, as a result to achieve Magga-ñãna, Phala-ñãna and to attain the Nibbana, the ultimate happiness of Buddhism.
