The Sangha has played the important role in developing community since the ancient time to maintain the Buddha-dhamma and to do for happiness of community. The relationship between the Sangha (monks) and Community has always come together. The monks must conduct themselves well and preach the Buddha-dhamma to the citizen of the world. It can be said that the duties of the Sangha are the studying, propagating and assisting with several agencies coming for helping.
From the in-depth interview, it is found that Phradhamamangalajarn, the abbot of Wat Phradhatu Sri Chomtong Voravihara has taken the Buddha-dhamma for various activities to improve the quality of life of the community. The result of the public opinion on the Phradhamamangalajarn’s role in developing the quality of life for Lumtai community is at the highest level as a whole. Considering 3 aspects, it can be mentioned that activities to improve the quality of life for Lumtai community is at the highest level; building and renovating Golden Teak Hall, Buddha Relics Building and good social activities. Next, making the temple as the center of improving the quality of life for the community is at the highest level; developing the temple to be beneficial to the community. Last, administrative management, welfare education supporting, and coordination to improve the quality of life for the community is at the highest level; supporting the community to receive information and planning as well.
Last but not the least, the problems and obstacles in this matter are that sometimes many participants attend the function but sometimes fewer people come and join the activity. The Snagha has the limited time to contact and coordinate because of the of Sangha’s obligations. Furthermore, the time of Songha and the community is not simultaneous. Therefore, all organizations should to cooperate seriously to reduce the negative impact of the current globalization that would happen to the people.
