Abstract
The purposes of research on titled “A Study on the Role of Sangkha Affairs Administration According to the Four Holy Abiding of the Abbots in Khaibokvan Subdistric, Muang District, Nongkhai Province” were to study the guidelines of concept and theory concerning the Sanghas’ activities in accordance with the Four Sublime States of Mind, to study the states of problems of the Sanghas’ activity administration of the Ecclesiastical Officials in the territory of Khai Bokwan Sub-district, Muang District, Nongkhai Province and to offer the guidelines of the Sanghas’ activity administration in accordance with the Four Sublime States of Mind of the Ecclesiastical Officials in the territory of Khai Bokwan Sub-district, Maung District, Nongkhai Province. The research was conducted by using the purposive sampling. The key informants consisted of the ecclesiastical officials in the territory of Khai Bokwan Sub-district, Maung District, Nongkhai Province.
The results of the research were found that the results of studying the guidelines of concept and theory concerning Sunghas’ activity administration and the Four Sublime States of Mind that were the importance for the Sanghas’ activity administration, immediate burdens of the Ecclesiastical Officials and absolutely significant for Buddhism, that is, the aspect of Sanghas’ administration, Buddhist education, public assistance, assistant education, public utilities and propagation of Buddhism.
The problematic situations of the Sanghas’ activity administration in accordance with the Four Sublime States of Mind of the Ecclesiastical officials in the territory of Khai Bokwan Sub-distract, Maung District, Nongkhai Province were found that in the aspect of Sanghas’ administration, the ecclesiastical officials were unable to provide the personnel who were able to perform their duties, in the aspect of Buddhist education, the fund for supporting Dhamma and Pali education was not enough, in the aspect of assistant education, the ecclesiastical officials did not enhance to establish the Buddhist schools in the aspect of propagation of Buddhism, the propagation of Dhamma by managing various activities was less in the Buddhist holidays, in the aspect of the public assistance, the ecclesiastical officials did not divide the work for their responsibility and planning and in the public utility, the ecclesiastical officials did not co-operate with each other to lay out the plans for duty management of public utility and assistance for community.
