They were to (1) study problems of Thai agriculture inAmphoeChalermprakirt, Burirum Province, (2) Study Dhamma principles related to agriculturists in Theravada Buddhism, and (3) apply Buddhist teaching to solve the problems of Thai agriculturists in Amphoe Chalermprakirt, Burirum Province. The results were found as follows:
The problems of Thai agriculturistsin Amphoe Chalermprakirt, Burirum Province were found that the majority of argriculurists planted crops and did the farm. The process of agriculture started from a preparation of money, land, labors, technology, and other factors. This career was very vital because it supported the well living of family and community. The problems started from natural disaster, poor irrigation system, agricultural materials, low cost of products, the shortage of water, and prevention of vegetable disease which lacked comprehension, and knowledge leading to the life impact of agriculturists.
There were many Buddha principles related to agriculture for life leading. Applying Buddha principles to ways of agriculture was a proper way of developing agriculture causing agriculturists to decreasetaking advantages of each other. In contrast, applying Buddha principles to agricultural ways caused diligence in their burdens and progress of agriculturists career.
Buddhist teaching could be applied to solve the problems such as natural disasters, problems of irrigation, agricultural materials, low price of products, and prevention the disease of vegetables. All needed different kinds of Buddha principles for a better development of agricultural career. Although there were many obstacles of applying Buddha principles to the life leading, the majority of agriculturists agreed that if applying Buddhist teaching to agricultural career, more people wanted to be agriculturists. This could be said that the problem solution was right and fair.
