ABSTRACT
The present study has undertaken three dominant objectives viz 1) to study the history of SirichndhovasaYodkumsorn Literature 2) to study the Buddhist principles stated in SirichndhovasaYodkumsorn Literature 3) to analyze the value of Buddhist principles in SirichndhovasaYodkumsorn Literature influencing to Thai community presently. Documentary research has been spelt out in the present study.
The research of research as follows ;
SirichndhovasaYodkumsorn Literature written by PhraUbalikunupamajan (Chan Sirichanto) in B.E. 2456-2457 when he was positioned as Phrarajakravi during the period of King Rama VI. The said literature was an only book written in Thai Isan language aimed to educate the people and criticize the beliefs in the Buddha’s predictions involving the degeneration of Buddhism in which passing over three thousand years after the Buddha born.
The Buddhist principles described in the said literature consisted of eight parts viz. 1) the administration 2) the controlee 3) the gratefulness 4) the sacrifice 5) the right livelihood 6) the precept 7) the advancement and 8) the degeneration
Further, the study has been found that the values of Buddhist principles stated in SirichndhovasaYodkumsorn Literature influencing to Thai society have been divided into four aspects, both of the private levels and the public levels, as follows; 1) the value in way of life 2) the value in nature 3) the value in administration and 4) the value in belief
