ABSTRACT
Three points of objective have been set for this research. Firstly, to study the concept of Perception of permanence in Theravada Buddhism. Secondly, to study Problem about Perception of permanence in Theravada Buddhism. Thirdly, to propose the ways to solve Perception of permanence in Theravada Buddhism into our daily life.
From the study, it is found that the perception of permanence in Theravada Buddhism means determined of or memory of the dependency but in mode of permanent, non-transient, stable and contain of some essence that beyond time of change which opposed to the truth. For example, opined of matter or body is stable, imperishable (in which it's impermanence).
So, perception of permanence make trouble of life in Buddhism theory. This is caused by Five-aggregates Trap or Existence Trap i.e. trap that circulating beings in the round of birth and death. False-view Beings whose percept in permanence may seriously struck into process of rebirth, then cannot free from suffering.
Perception of impermanence is more powerful if it is supported by unwholesum states i.e. Eternalism, Heedlessness and False-view. Ones who behave wholesum states i.e. Non-eternalism, Earnestness and True-view. Those wholesum states count as Buddhology of solving strucking in ones own perception of permanence.
In mundane state, contemplation on loathsomeness, contemplation of death, perception on the loathsomeness of food can be all used to diminish perception of permanence.
Above mundane state i.e. Jhana level, contemplation on Vipassana, can be used to diminish perception of permanence.
As for the ways to solve the problem of permanency in daily life, ones who desire to escape from perception of permanence, should practice Threefold trainings together with the Four noble truths. Start from learning true nature of life, concentrating for mindfulness, and wisdom or Vipassana for contemplating those emotion-contacts. This practices is the noble Eightfold path.
