ABSTRACT
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the level of layman’s life quality and the application of Dhutangavatta 2) to compare the level of life quality and Dhutangavatta application of personnel BETTER WAY (THAILAND) COMPANY 3) to study the relationship between quality of life : physical, social emotional and cognitive with Dhutangavatta application management, environment, education, economic and social aspects. The research instruments consisted of questionnaire for collecting data with 5 level scale and deep interviews. Statistics for data analysis were ; frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance and Pearson’s Product moment Correlations. The research results were as follows :
1) The Concept of The Quality of life and Dhutangavatta
It is found that life quality are physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. The Dhutangavatta consisted of strict self discipline, training for higher morality, considering to paucity of wishes, simplicity and destroying defilements, by looking the holy life. Dhutangavatta consists of 13 disciplines such as refuse-rag-wearer’s, triple-robe-wearer’s, alms-food-eater’s, house-to-house-seeker’s, one-sessioner’s, bowl-food-eater’s, later-food-refuser’s, tree-root-dweller’s, charnel-ground-dweller’s, any bed-user’s and sitter’s practices. Basic mental qualities concerning Dhutangavatta consisted of contentment in general necessities, paucity of wishes and using with mindfulness and clear comprehension, cutting obstruction paucity of wishes and simplicity. It interrupt with psychology principles of motivation that insist people to develop themself from fundamental motives (D-Motives) to self actualization (B-Motives)
2 ) The Perception of Quality of Life and Dhutangavatta Application
The samples are mostly female (76.7 %), age 41-50 years (38.2 %), bachelor (57.5 %), operational role (øö.ó %), work experiences 11-20 years (45.8 %), packing section, (60.7 %), monthly income 15001, – 25,000 Bath (45.1 %). The samples perceived quality of life at the middle levels ( = ó.ðø). By considering in each aspects, it can be listed the levels of quality of life from more to less as social, emotional, cognitive and physical development respectively ( = 3.55, 3.02, 3.00 and 2.94 ) It is also found that the sample with differences in sex and work sections perceived the differences in life qualities at 0.01 level. Whereas age, marital status, education, work position and work experience perceived no difference in life quality.
The sample perceived the of Dhutangavatta application at middle level. By considering in each aspects, it can be listed the levels of Dhutangavatta application from more to less as in management, environment, education, economic and social aspects respectively. It is also found that the sample with the differences in age and work section perceived the differences in the Dhutangavatta application at the 0.05 and 0.01 level respectively. Whereas the samples differ in sex, marital status, education, role position, work experience perceived no difference in the application for over all problems. In-deep interview, self discipline, self strict and B-Motives are important things for higher life quality and higher administrator.
3) There are the relationship between with both The quality life : physical, social, emotional and cognitive have to relationship with Dhutangavatta application management ,environment, education, economic and social aspects at 0.01 level.
