ABSTRACT
The present study consisted of three main objectives, namely,
1) to investigate the people’s participation in development of Ban Sangruang Community, Muangsisaket District, Sisaket Province 2) to compare leval of people’s participation in development of Ban Sangruang Community, Muangsisaket District, Sisaket Province 3) to explore problem Threats and guidelines on development of people’s participation in development of Ban Sangruang Community, Muangsisaket District, Sisaket Province. The study employed a mixed methodology research, with a quantitative research design of a survey.
The questionnaire was used to collect data through 253 people who take part in community development. Data were analyzed using the statistical techniques such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics of t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and Scheffe’s post hoc comparison. In addition, in-depth interviews were used with 8 key informants, and data were analyzed by means of content analysis.
The study findings revealed that:
1) The overall people’s participation in development of Ban Sangruang Community, Muangsisaket District, Sisaket Province was at a high level in all four aspects. When considering each aspect, it could be seen that the mean score of the revolving fund aspect was at a medium level, while the mean scores of the psychological aspect, the participation for gaining benefit aspect, the participation of management aspect , participation of evaluate aspect and the aspect was at a lowest level, the determination aspect, respectively.
2) The hypothesis testing showed the people who were personal factors different in status and monthly incomes, had different the effected to the people’s participation in development of Ban Sangruang Community, Muangsisaket District, Sisaket Province with statistical significance at 0.05 level. However, the people with different in genders, ages, education backgrounds and positon of work showed no differences in the effected to the people’s participation in development of
Ban Sangruang Community, Muangsisaket District, Sisaket Province with statistical significance at 0.05 level, which did not support the study hypothesis who were Personal factors different in stutus and monthly incomes, had different the effected to the people’s participation in development of Ban Sangruang Community, Muangsisaket District, Sisaket Province
3) Regarding recommendations on development people’s participation in development of Ban Sangruang Community, Muangsisaket District, Sisaket Province, it should listen comment of local people for good determination and the local people should participate when a problem should be consult ed and recommendations, and comments should be discussed in the meeting. The agent from each family attend to search other conclusions, it should hold activity about people’s participation to the power of unity, The leader be energetically in working, explain problem clearly and build the united in community.
