Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

The research entitled “The educational management in accordance with the Four Brahmavihara of basic school administrators in Nongbua Schools, Nakhon Sawan Province”. The objectives of this study were 1) to study overview of the educational institution administration according to the IV Devine States (Brahmaviharas) of educational institution administrators in the basic educational institution of Nongbua Schools Group, Nakhonsawan Province,2) to compare the opinions towards educational institution administration according to the IV Devine States (Brahmaviharas) of educational institution administrators in the basic educational institution of Nongbua Schools Group, Nakhonsawan Province, and 3) to study guidelines on educational institution administration according to the IV Devine States (Brahmaviharas) of educational institution administrators in the basic educational institution of Nongbua Schools Group, Nakhonsawan Province.

This study was a descriptive research. The quantitative data were collected by surveying and qualitative data were collected by in-depth interviewing. The population consisting of 223 persons included 100 teachers and 123 persons in education committee which were in Nongbua Schools Group (Nongbua District, Nakhonsawan Province) under Nakhonsawan Primary Educational Service Area Office 3. The sample size was determined by using Krejcie& Morgan Table. The stratified random sampling divided the population into subgroups as stratified by educational institutions in proportion to the population. In-depth interviewing was used for 7 persons. The statistical analyses used were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation as descriptive statistics and T-test as inferential statistics. Moreover data from in-depth interview was also analysed.

The findings of the research were found that most of the samples were persons in education committee (n=123, 55.16%) and most of educational levels were lower than undergraduate degree (n=122, 44.85%).

1) The results of level of the opinions towards educational institution administration according to the IV Devine States (Brahmaviharas) of educational institution administrators in the basic educational institution of Nongbua School Group, Nakhonsawan Province were found that a whole was at high level and mean was 4.22. Considering the opinions as divided by 4 aspects, mean of aspects on academic administration, budgeting administration, personnel administration, and general administration were 4.20, 4.13, 4.29, and 4.21, respectively.

2) The results of comparing the opinions towards educational institution administration according to the IV Devine States (Brahmaviharas) of educational institution administrators in the basic educational institution of Nongbua Schools Group, Nakhonsawan Province as classified by roles of educational institution and level of education were found that there was no statistical difference and the assumption is not met.

3) Guidelines on educational institution administration according to the IV Devine States (Brahmaviharas) of educational institution administrators in the basic educational institution of Nongbua Schools Group, Nakhonsawan Province as 4 aspects which was an important, could be applied to increase effectiveness of the educational institution administration. An aspect on the administration, administrators need to understand and have ability on educational institution administration which was basic characteristics of administrators. Administrators need to use principles of art and science of administration. Moreover administrators need to have abilities to rule transparently and fairly to subordinates, dare to decide accurately and quickly, behave according to policies of the Ministry of Education, plan school development for accomplishment, make Learning Organization (LO), plan to do good projects regularly, assign the jobs appropriately (i.e. put the right man in the right job), build strong team-works, have creative thinking for projects on student’s English skills, and know government regulations accurately.
