The Morality Development of Secondary School Students in Songpeenong District, Suphanburi Province

Abstract

ABSTRACT            

The objectives of this research were : 1) to study the opinions of students to the morality development of secondary school students in Songpeenong district, Suphanburi province, 2) to study the comparison of the opinions of students to the morality development of secondary school students in Songpeenong district, Suphanburi province, 3) to study the problems and suggestions about the opinions of students to the morality development of secondary school students in Songpeenong district, Suphanburi province. The sampling group was 306 students in the secondary schools in Songpeenong district, Suphanburi province. The research is a mixed research methodology between quantitative and qualitative researches.  The statistics are used for the data analysis through such as percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D), T-test, F-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and Least Significant Difference : LSD, and the data analysis from interview was used by the content analysis technique.

 

The findings of this research as follows :

1. The students had the opinions to the monks in the morality development of secondary school students in Songpeenong district, Suphanburi province. It is at the good level for overall with an average as 4.145. When considered in each side, found that the highest side was the gratitude with an average at 4.239 and the lowest opinions side was the discipline with an average at 4.053.

2. The findings of comparison of the opinions of students to the monks in the morality development of secondary school students in Songpeenong district, Suphanburi province., classified by personal data and found that the students who had the difference of sex, age, careers of guardian,  had the opinions to the monks in the morality development of secondary school students in Songpeenong district, Suphanburi province Indifferently. It rejected the hypothesis. But the students who had the difference of class level and result of study, had the opinions to the monks in the morality development of secondary school students in Songpeenong district, Suphanburi province differently with significance of statistics at 0.05. It accepted the hypothesis.

3. The problems, obstacles and the suggestions about the students to the monks in the morality development of secondary school students in Songpeenong district, Suphanburi province and found that lack of honesty when the time has reached, to collect the things and then no return to the owners, no helping the homework of parents, throw the rubbish inproperly that it makes dirty and dress incorrectly according to the rule or regulation. For suggestion, should train about discipline and correct dressing. Should let them understand the profit in helping homework of parents and must have the right livelihood in state of society to have high competency. The monks must be the model of students in morality development of the students.
