ABSTRACT
The objectives of research were : 1) to study The Roles of Sangha on Educationa Welfare Administration in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province, 2) to comparatively study The Roles of Sangha on Educationa Welfare Administration in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province, being classified by individual status, and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions on The Roles of Sangha on Educationa Welfare Administration in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province. The sampling group of the research was 210 monks in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province. The research was used the Mixed Method with both quantitative and qualitative methods by using questionnaire and in-depth interview. The statistics used in data analysis were the Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation (S.D.), F-test, One Way Analysis of Variance (One Way ANOVA) and the difference in pair by the way of Least Significant Difference (LSD). The interview data analysis was conducted with the help of Content Analysis Techniques.
The findings of the research are as follow :
1. The monks’ opinion concerning The Roles of Sangha on Educationa Welfare Administration in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province totally was in good level with = 3.73; being considered each aspect, it has been found that every aspect of the monks’ opinion concerning The Roles of Sangha on Educationa Welfare Administration in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province was in good level: the aspect of educational welfare in schools at = 3.78, the Sangha educational welfare at = 3.74, the educational welfare offered to the underprivileged people at = 3.71, and the development of monasteries to being center of education = 3.70, respectively.
2. The comparison of monks’ opinion concerning The Roles of Sangha on Educationa Welfare Administration in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province, being classified by individual status, it has been found that monks’ different age and number of years in monkshood effected to opinion concerning The Roles of Sangha on Educationa Welfare Administration in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province totally had significant differences at .05 level of confidence, thus accepting formulated hypotheses. Meanwhile, the monks with different Sangha rank, general educational qualification, Dhamma educational qualification and Pali educational qualification effected to opinion concerning The Roles of Sangha on Educationa Welfare Administration in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province was totally not different, that denied the established hypothesis.
3. From studying the problems, obstacles and suggestions it had been found that the problems and obstacles in The Roles of Sangha on Educationa Welfare Administration in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province were as follows : 1) there were no good enough administration and personnel in the aspect of Sangha educational welfare. 2) The educational welfare in schools was lack of participation and sharing opinion in administration. 3) The development of monasteries to being center of education in order to reduce and stop the addicted things and going on the way to ruin, readiness of the temples to be the center for reducing and stopping addicted things and going on the way to ruin, to be afraid of the powerfulness including the lack of personnel and fund. 4) The aspect of educational welfare offered to the underprivileged people lacked of the supporting fund and also the establishment of fund for helping the underprivileged people. The suggestions on all aspects were: 1) Concerning the educational welfare of sangha at present, promoting and supporting the administration as the obligations to be effective and promoting personnel in the operation should be performed. 2) Concerning the Sangha administration of educational welfare in school, the opportunity of participation and presenting opinion in administration should be provided. 3) Concerning the development of monasteries to be center of education with the purpose of reducing and stopping addicted things and going on the way to ruin, the abbot should be ready to manage and allow the officers to participate in legal activities. 4) Concerning the aspect of educational welfare offered to the underprivileged people, there should be of paying great attention in looking for the supporting sources of education and establishment of the fund.
4. There are also suggestions was summarized as follows : The Roles of Sangha on Educationa Welfare Administration in Sriprachan District, Suphanburi Province, there should be more cooperation and great support from the Sangha Administrators including fund and personnel in order to make it more completely and efeectively.
