ABSTRACT

The objectives of this research were : 1) to study the opinions of the monks to temple management of abbots in Danmakhamtie district, Kanchanaburi province, 2) to study the comparison of the opinions of the monks to temple management of abbots in Danmakhamtie district, Kanchanaburi province, 3) to study the problems and suggestions for  the temple management of the abbots in Danmakhamtie district, Kanchanaburi province. The sampling group was 280 monks in Danmakhamtie district, Kanchanaburi province. The research is a mixed research methodology between quantitative and qualitative researches. The statistics are used for the data analysis through such as percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D), F-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and Least Significant Difference : LSD, and the data analysis from interview was used by the content analysis technique.

The findings of this research as follows :

๑. The monk had the opinions to temple management of abbots in Danmakhamtie district, Kanchanaburi province. It is a good level for overall as an average as 3.836. When considered in each side found the monks had the opinions to temple management of abbots in  Danmakhamtie district, Kanchanaburi province that is also a  good level and the highest opinions were the temple preservation including religious asset management with an average as  3.842 and the lowest opinions level were the management and administration were 3.790 in average.

2. The findings of comparison of the opinions of monks to temple management of abbots in Danmakhamtie district, Kanchanaburi province, classified by personal data by testing the hypothesis, found that the sampling group who had the difference of general education and Pali Education, had the opinions to temple management of abbots in Danmakhamtie district, Kanchanaburi province differently with significance of statistics at 0.05. It accepted the hypothesis. But the sampling group who had the difference of age, ordination year, Dhammai Education, had the opinions to temple management of abbots in Danmakhamtie district, Kanchanaburi province indifferently. It rejected the hypothesis.

3. The findings of studying for problems and obstacles were about lack of building preservation in the temple, lack of listening the suggestion of monks and novices in temple management, monks and novices lacked of studying Dhamma and Pali, lacked of cleaning keeping. For suggestion, should preserve the public domain of temple to be nice and perfect, to support the monks and novices to study in higher level by having incentive and movitation to teachers and students of Dhamma and Pali education, should facilitate the people to us the temple to make merit. The guidelines to support the monastery management of abbots in  Danmakhamtie district, Kanchanaburi province, found that the temple management should integrate by connecting the activity of temple to match with Sangha organization management, to give the importance to temple development plan, set up the well system within the temple by set up the temple asset list with transparency, to set up the educational institute along with the world and Dhamma, to keep the readiness for the monks to follow Dhammavinaya and help the activity in the public domain.
