Abstract

             This dissertation entitled ‘The Analysis of Cultivation of Buddhist Integrity (Ãjjava) to Students in Taweethapisek school’ has three objectives: 1) to study Integrity (Ãjjava) according to Buddhism, 2) to cultivate the Buddhist Integrity (Ãjjava) to the students in Taweethapisek school, and  3) to analyse the cultivation of Buddhist Integrity (Ãjjava) to students in Taweethapisek school. This is a mixed-research design consisting of qualitative form in terms of documentary, interviewing and field researches done by experimental sampling questionnaires. The analytical results were carried out by both of quantitative and qualitative data.       

                                 In the study, it was found that honesty or sincerity is basically related to physical, verbal and mental expression when one honestly or sincerely acts towards oneself, others and society. The fostering of the Buddhist Integrity (Ãjjava) to Taweethapisek’s students was practically applied through principles of threefold learning, the tenfold way of good action and the moral shame & moral dread as measures and means for behavioral traning on right thinking and problem-solving.  

In the cultivation of such honesty for developing truthfulness straight to Buddhism for whole students are beneficial to apply for daily lives, developing oneself as the Taweethapisek gentlemen so as to create the peaceful societies, three activities were utilized as follows : 1) the knowledge on honesty, five precepts, chanting of Sutta, radiation of loving kindness and wisdom management was educated, 2) the mental management was used, and 3) the supportive activities of curriculum such as the role models of those who have honesty in Jãtaka, appreciation of good leaders, braveheart men, friends taking care of frineds, lost and found activity, eyes of pineapple, voluntary guardian, survey on students’opinions concerning honesty was also used as experitmental tools.

The model of the cultivation of Buddhist integrity (Ãjjava) in Taweethapisek school can be formed as 3D = TP MODEL; D1 means ‘development on thinking’, D2 means ‘development on speaking’ and D3 means ‘development on practicing’, the mentioned model can be actualized through daily application wherein “Cute Gentlrmen” of school would be gradually cultivated and this model can be served as the role model for the educational advantages of other schools as well.
