Abstract
The objectives of the thesis entitled were as follows: 1) To study the role of community leaders in strengthening the reconciliation between government sectors and people in community forest management of Thung Chang District, Nan Province. 2) To study the general condition of community forest management between the government sectors and people of Thung Chang District, Nan Province. 3) To propose ways of Buddhism’s principles to strengthen reconciliation between government sectors and people in the management of community forest areas of Thung Chang District, Nan Province. This research is a qualitative research. The researcher collected the information from the document including related research. From in-depth interviews, the researcher selected 15 key informants from the key informants group, the first group being the spiritual leader of the community including 3 monks. Group 2 is a community leader from the local government including 4 people in the area. Group 3 is 4 in the government sector, and group 4 is people in the area amount 4 people.
The findings of this thesis were found as follow:
1) The role of good leaders must be vision and the ability to apply the rules of community forest management. There are major mediators in disputes between the government sectors and people. Must be moral and have psychological persuasion. The operation is for the benefit of the community and achieve the goal the connection of the community network to be strong and sustainable.
2) General conditions of Community forests of Thung Chang Sub-district, Thung Chang District, Nan Province is the forest management that maintains the way of life of the community and the natural dependence. Community participation is to maintain and utilize the abundance of community forests. There are rules that apply properly. Through the board of the village. The headman is the president. Supervised by the Provincial Natural Resources and Environment.
3) The principle for strengthening reconciliation must be used Political science in conjunction with community forest management with also conflicts. The regarding to maximum benefit of the community is the main. And to strengthen reconciliation, we need to integrate the principles of justice. To achieve the acceptance of both parties.
