Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of The Morale and Spirit of Officials in Court of Justice in Nakhonsawan Province,  2) to compare The Morale and Spirit of Officials in the Court of Justice in Nakhonsawan Province by classifying on the personal factors, and 3) to study the problems, and ways for The Morale and Spirit of Officials in the Court of Justice in Nakhonsawan Province

This research applied the Mixed Research consisting of the qualitative and quantitative research. The sample of this research were 226 out of 554 officials who works at the Court of Justice in Nakhonsawan Province, determine the sample by using the formula of Taro Yamane. Questionnaire was selected to be the research tool with the reliability value of 0.868. Data analysis was done by using processed program for Social Science (SPSS). The statistics used in this study were the values of frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, F-test and one way-ANOVA. When the difference was found, the Least Significant Difference: LSD. would be made with determining the statistical significance at level of 0.05 and in-depth interview using 7 persons as the Key Informants and analysis of context-based content.

The research results were as follows:

1)  Overall, the level of The Morale and Spirit of Officials in Court of Justice in Nakhonsawan Province was at the high level (= 4.04). When considering each aspect, sorting arithmetic mean from highest to lowest were the recognition and praise from colleague (=4.13), a job satisfaction (=4.06), the opportunity in working progression (=4.04) and  the compensation  (=3.95)

2The comparison of The Morale and Spirit of Officials in the Court of Justice in Nakhonsawan Province was classified by individual factors. It is found that the officials having different age, education, position, marital status, income and work period, had different attitude towards the morale and spirit of Office of the Judiciary in Nakhonsawan province with statistical significance at the level of 0.05. In contrast, The officials having different age had no different attitude toward the morale and spirit of Office of the Judiciary in Nakhonsawan province

3) Ways to enhance morale within the Court of Justice in Nakhonsawan Province were a conflict of job performance in judicial power; nowadays and in the future increasing of cases; therefore, working as officials in office of Judiciary can not work part-time job because of heavy loaded work with less compensation which cost of living is higher than their income. The officials feel they were not recognized and be honor them enough ; in addition, no job profession such as no training or attending in seminar for self-development because of insufficiency officer. Some officials or judges act in misconduct which made the overall of Office of Judiciary look bad. Some suggestion of this research were as follows: have a handbook that states the all problems and list how to solve in each situation, review how to gain a compensation and make it worth of time that spending on working hard of officials, set a schedule for each official to be in some seminar and Finally be aware of recruiting a judge or chief Justice.
