Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the level of The participation of people towards administration of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, Bangrakum District, Phitsanuloke Province,  2) to compare the participation of people towards administration of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, Bangrakum District, Phitsanuloke Province by classifying on the personal factors, and 3) to study the problems, and ways for the participation of people towards administration of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, Bangrakum District, Phitsanuloke Province

This research applied the Mixed Methods Research consisting of the quantitative and qualitative research. The research tools in quantitative research were a questionnaire and in qualitatative research were an in-depth interview for the sample  of 384 people who live within Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, Bangrakum District, Phitsanuloke Province by using Stratified Random Sampling Approach. Questionnaire was selected to be the research tools which made by the researcher consisting of 5 levels of Rating Scale and open-ended questions with the reliability value of 0.986. Data analysis was done by using processed program for Social Science. The statistics used in this study were the values of frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation, F-test by one way-ANOVA. When the difference was found, the Least Significant Difference: LSD would be made with determining the statistical significance at level of 0.05 and in-depth interview using 7 Key Informants and analysis of Descriptive Content analysis.

The results revealed as follows:

1.  Overall, the level of the participation of people towards administration of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, Bangrakum District, Phitsanuloke Province was at the middle level (= 2.91). When considering each aspect, sorting arithmetic mean from highest to lowest were the participation public information (=3.14), the participation developing plan (=2.90), the participation making decision (=2.85), the participation operations (=2.84) and the participation monitoring and evaluation (=2.81)

2. The comparison of the participation of people towards administration of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, Bangrakum District, Phitsanuloke Province was classified by personal factors. It is found that gender, age, education and career took no different in the participation of people towards administration of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, Bangrakum district, Phitsanuloke Province. However, people who had a different income had different of the participation of people towards administration of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, Bangrakum District, Phitsanuloke Province at the at 0.05 of statistical significance

3. The ways for the participation of people towards administration of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, Bangrakum district, Phitsanuloke Province were that (1) lack of public information and public relations of Sub-district Administration Organization, (2) lack of the participation developing plan between people and Sub-district Administration Organization, (3) people could not participating in suggestion any problems or voting for some polls, (4) people were not united in action with community and (5) lack of the participation monitoring and evaluation of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization.

The suggestion for developing in the participation of people towards administration of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, Bangrakum District, Phitsanuloke Province as follows: 1) announcing about public realtions regularly 2) encouraging people to participate or develop plan together with  Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization, 3) whenever people face a problem, people should directly tell officials and participate when setting up a vote, 4) both Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization and people should be united in any activities, and 5) people should follow up in monitoring and evaluating of Buengkok Sub-district Administration Organization.
