Abstract
The objectives of the study were 1) to examine A Model of Non- Drinking
Campain Project during Buddhist Lont at Inaelch Sub-district, Fang District, Chiang Mai
Province. 2) to compare A Model of Non- Drinking Campain Project during Buddhist
Lont at Inaelch Sub-district, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province. 3) to explore the
problems and the obstacles of A Model of Non- Drinking Campain Project during
Buddhist Lont at Inaelch Sub-district, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province. This research
was a mixed research method. The samples were 2,989 people, the sample size was
determined by Taro Yamane’s Table form the 352 people. The data was collected
by questionnaires. The data analysis was done with social sciences SPSS. The
statistics used were values of frequency, percentage, mean and st andard deviation.
Hypothesis test with T – test,F-test. It is also analyzed by theone-way Anova, Least
Significant Difference: LSD. In the part of open-ended questions that shows the
problems and recommendations, the researcher arranged the group according to the
issues of open – ended questions, then there was to analyze by frequency and data
from interviews, the researcher will form into groups the data according to important
part of the interview and then content analyzed.
The findings of this research were found as follows:
1) The opinion ofA Model of Non- Drinking Campain Project during
Buddhist Lont at Inaelch Sub-district, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province. There are
divided into four aspects namely; person, environment, culture, and society. The
overall was at the high level ( =3.70) and classified by each aspect was found that
person was 3.77, environment was 3.71, culture was 3.78 and society was 3.59
2) To compare the opinion to A Model of Non- Drinking Campain Project
during Buddhist Lont at Inaelch Sub-district, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province,
classified by personnel factors namely; gender, age, status, education, career and
earnings in answering the hypothesis, it was found that the people of Mae kha sub-disrict, Fang district, Chiang Mai province that different age, educational, there was
the different opinion to A Model of Non- Drinking Campain Project during Buddhist
Lont at Inaelch Sub-district, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, then it accepted the
hypothesis. In the part of different gender, status, career, earnings, there was the
different opinion to A Model of Non- Drinking Campain Project during Buddhist Lont
at Inaelch Sub-district, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, and then it denied the
hypothesis.
3) The problems, the obstacles and the recommendations are concern
with the A Model of Non- Drinking Campain Project during Buddhist Lont at Inaelch
Sub-district, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, classified by each aspect as follows:
being persuaded from colleagues to drink alcohol a daily, to understand that drinking
alcohol helps to relieve illness and reduce stress. In the festival or the party will
bring alcohol for drinking regularly. Alcohol is easy to buy alcohol; drinking alcohol is
not illegal and recognized from friends, society.The recommendations should do the
activity when they have free time such as exercise, gardening or leisure time with
family and to go the travel etc. when there is the party or the festival they should
not bring alcohol to the party. They should have public relations about the harms of
alcohol, the community leaders, the family leaders should be a good model to
abstain from alcohol in Buddhist Lent
4) The way of A Model of Non- Drinking Campain Project during Buddhist
Lont at Inaelch Sub-district, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province. The relatives, the
friends and the intimate should be encouraged and supported you to abstain from
alcohol during Buddhist Lent. Non-drinking campaign should have government
sector, local administration, community, temple that concerned with quite drinking
during Buddhist Lent, to join the activity about quite drinking during Buddhist Lent.
They should take the principles to be practice such as the five precepts (Panca Sila)
seriously, to take a stand the religion principle, usually go to temple, listen to
sermon, sitting meditation for calming is able to refrain from drinking alcohol during
Buddhist Lent. There are the knowledge creation and the awareness to people in the
community, society from bad results of drinking alcohol. There are criterions or the
regulations of society to refrain from drinking alcohol at a party, funeral, and various
traditions throughout and continually.
