The objectives of this research were : 1) to study development of people quality of life by the Buddhist way in Nakornnonthaburi Municipality Nonthaburi Province; 2) to compare the opinions on development of people quality of life by the Buddhist way in Nakornnonthaburi Municipality Nonthaburi Province by personal data; and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions of development of people quality of life by the Buddhist way in Nakornnonthaburi Municipality Nonthaburi Province. The research methodology was the mixed methods research. An in-depth interview and survey were used as the ways to collect data in this research. The sampling group of this research was 399 from the total of 256,051 people selected by Taro Yamane fomula. The data included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and test hypothesis by t–test, F–test by one way analysis of variance; ANOVA, and test the differences of the average pairing with the Least Significant Difference: LSD, while in-depth interview was used by content analysis.

1. The level of development on development of people quality of life by the Buddhist way in Nakornnonthaburi Municipality Nonthaburi Province overall were at a high level ( =4.19). Moreover, when compared to each aspect of Uthanasapatha, Arrakkhasapatha, Kalayanamittata, and Samachevita, it was found that the level of development on development of people quality of life by the Buddhist way in Nakornnonthaburi Municipality Nonthaburi Province in Samachevita aspect were at the highest level ( =4.32) and the remain aspects were at a high level.

3. The problems and obstacles of development of people quality of life by the Buddhist way in Nakornnonthaburi Municipality Nonthaburi Province found that 1) in the community a large number of people were unemployed. Some of them refused to fully co-operate on earning their living; for example, they set up their shop in a particular place as needed; 2) the economic in recession and the increase in the cost of living resulted in people’s higher expenditures; 3) there were a lot of pollution, wastage of valuable resources, and degradation of the environment as well as natural resources, 4) some of the children, the young, and people were unable to choose good friends, which led to drug addiction among them; 5) a growing number of unskilled labor wanted to pursue their studies that would bring benefits of their careers; 6) some people could not have access to all the useful and latest information; 7) some people still are so poor that they had not enough money and land to live heir life; and 8) the Nakornnonthaburi Municipality gave much mare importance of commercially allocating natural resources without consideration of sustainability of the community.

The suggestions for development of people quality of life by the Buddhist way in Nakornnonthaburi Municipality Nonthaburi Province found that 1) there should be guidelines for developing and supporting the people’s careers and trainings e.g., One Tambon One Product and changing land asset in capital; for instance, the persmission of selling goods in public areas; 2) there should be strong support for domestic savings by establishing the co-operative; 3) there should be management of waste, garbage, water pollution, and other pollution; 4) there should be anti-drug campaign; 5) there should be formal and non-formal education so as to increase people’s knowledge and carees skills; 6) there should be many kinds of communication channels opened for people to access information about the impacts on economic, society, and natural resources and environment in their community, and to encourage public hearings programs somehow; and 7) there should be some land allocation and widespread support for the poor in accordance with His Majesty the King’s Sufficiency Philosophy for their sufficient lives and strength of the family institution as well as the community as a whole.
