ABSTRACT 

              The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the efficiency of management of student affairs division of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University, 2) to compare the opinions of students on the efficiency of management of student affairs division of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions to efficiency of management of student affairs division of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. This research was a mixed methods research of the qualitative and quantitative researches. The quantitative research was conducted by studying the samples of 333 respondents which selected by stratified random sampling of 1,976 persons who were students of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. The sample size derived from the Taro Yamane’s formula. The tool used for data collection was 5 levels rating scale questionnaire at reliability level of 0.934. Statistics used to analyze data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, One Way Analysis of Variance and Least Significant Different: LSD. The quantitative research was conducted by In-depth interviewing the 7 key informants who were selected by purposive sampling. Data analyzing was used content analysis technique.

              The research findings were as follows:

              1) The efficiency of management of student affairs division of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University in overall was at a medium level ( = 3.45, S.D.=0.77). After considering each side found that the service and religious activity aspect was at high level ( = 3.57, S.D.=0.79), affairs and discipline of students aspect was at medium level ( = 3.40, S.D.=0.85) and administration and welfare of students aspect was at medium level ( = 3.44, S.D.=0.846).

              2) The comparison of populace opinions towards the efficiency of management of student affairs division of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University separated by different factors of each person found that the samples that were gender status and age different were not different opinions. But for other factors, their opinions were different at reliability level of 0.05.

              3) The problems and obstacles of the efficiency of management of student affairs division of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University were 1) lack the welfare for students, 2) lack the knowledgeable personnel, 3) lack the lecturer and 4) lack the enough materials. The suggestions were 1) increasing the number of personnel for adequate to the number of students, 2) increasing the quality of personnel, 3) supporting enough materials of education and 4) arrange the scholarship for students who are increasing numbers yearly.
