ABSTRACT

            The objectives of this research were: 1.to study the  level of participation of people on Buddhist environment management of Phe sub-district administration organization, Rayong province,  2) to study the comparison of the participation of people on Buddhist environment management of  Phe sub-district administration organization, Rayong province 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions as the guideline for development to support the participation of people on Buddhist environment management of  Phe sub-district administration organization, Rayong province.  It was the mixed method between the quantitative and qualitative research.  For the quantitative research, the population of Phe sub-district administration organization, Rayong province were 18,522 persons by using the Taro Yamane formula and getting the sampling group was 392 persons. The statistics were used for the data analysis through frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D), T-test, F-test, One-way Analysis of Variance and Least Significant Difference: LSD. and the qualitative research , the tool to collect the data  was the structured in-depth interview from 8 key informants and the data analysis  by using the descriptive interpretation analysis technique.

The findings of the research as follows:

             1.The participation of people on Buddhist environment management of Phe sub-district administration organization, Rayong province .  It was at the good level for overall When considered in each side found that the participation of people on Buddhist environment management of Phe sub-district administration organization, Rayong province on decision making and work practice were  at the good level. For the interest acceptance was at the middle level, and the evaluation was at the good level.

               2..The findings of comparison of the  opinions to the participation of people on Buddhist environment management of  Phe sub-district administration organization, Rayong province , classified by personal data such as sex, age, level of education, career and income per month , found that the people who had the differences of sex,  level of education , career and income per month, had the opinions to participation of people on Buddhist environment management of  Phe sub-district administration organization, Rayong province differently with significance of statistics at 0.05. 

                3.The problems, obstacles and suggestions as the guideline to the participation of people on Buddhist environment management of Phe sub-district administration organization, Rayong province, found that the people had the opinions expression about the problems and obstacles to the participation of people on Buddhist environment management of  Phe sub-district administration organization, Rayong province, to have own interest and friends are the causes of no participation to the local environment management as the most importance,  the  economic problem so they are not interested in the environment, the people lack of environment understanding. The people must help to examine about natural resources preservation like sea resource, trees etc.  The public sector, people and private sector administration should create the cooperation continuously and campaign to see the importance to preserve good environment  and have the usefulness to the lives of humans  and the suggestions : should create the co-value for environment preservation, should convince the consciousness to love the locality and the nature, should use the principle of Dhamma for living with environment, to be the friendship with nature, to set up the training project for volunteer  in environment management systematically,  to have the public relations continuously for creating the right understanding of people to see the importance of environment management.
