Abstract

         The objectives of this research were : (1) to study  Dhammaduta’s Role for Buddhist Propagation in Nampad district, Uttharadit province, (2) to compare the  Dhammaduta’s Role for Buddhist Propagation in Nampad district, Uttharadit province, classified by personal factors, (3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions to Dhammaduta’s Role for Buddhist Propagation in Nampad district, Uttharadit province.  This research is the mixed method research. The sampling group was 140 Buddhist missionary monks at Nampad district by studying the data through Tipitaka, academic document and related research work, questionnaire and in-depth interview from Buddhist missionary monks at Nampad district, Uttharadit province.

         The findings of this research as following :

         1. The Dhammaduta’s Role for Buddhist Propagation in Nampad district, Uttharadit province, in overall found that Buddhism propagation, found that the Roles towards Buddhism Propagation of Buddhist Missionary Monks at Nampad District, Uttharadit Province, in over all, was at moderate level with an average         ( = 3.36). When considered in each aspect, found that the peace was the highest level with an average ( = 3.59). The second aspect was the gratitude with an average ( = 3.50) and the lowest aspect was the public welfare with an average      ( = 3.12).

         2. The findings the comparison to Dhammaduta’s Role for Buddhist Propagation In Nampad district, Uttharadit province, classified by personal data, found that the monks who had age, ordination year, general education  Dhamma Education , Pali Education, had the opinion to the compare the  roles towards Buddhism propagation of Buddhist missionary monks at Nampad district, Uttharadit province indifferently. It rejected the hypothesis.

         3. The problems, obstacles and suggestions about the Dhammaduta’s Role for Buddhist Propagation In Nampad district, Uttharadit province, found that the people and educational institutions would like Buddhist missionary monks to work like training and teaching , indicating the guideline to behave well according to Dhamma and in daily life including to be a leader for helping the poor or suffering people and natural victim like flood, wild fire as the supporter and to create faith for unfaithful people to have the faith  and to keep the faith stably forever.

          Suggestions for working :  should have the meeting planning, to recruit the personnel or assigned monks to work for helping for Buddhism propagation, high position rank person like high senior monks, not strong monks to work in the task, to find out the vehicle for using in the country side  and it is too hard to walk. From these suggestions can work for more efficiency.
