ABSTRACT
The objectives of this study were 1) to study the participation of local politics of women in Wangpang sub-district municipality, Wiangnonglong district, Lamphun province, 2) to compare the participation of local politics of women in Wangpang sub-district municipality, Wiangnonglong district, Lamphun province, 3) to find out the problems, the obstacles and the suggestions of the participation guidelines of local politics of women in Wangpang sub-district municipality, Wiangnonglong district, Lamphun province, and 4) to bring the principle of Aparihaniyadhamma in application with the participation of local politics of women in Wangpang sub-district municipality, Wiangnonglong district, Lamphun province. The research used mixed method research. The population and sample were 3,251 people selected from the women who live in Wangpang sub-district municipality by sampling to compare quantity of the people with standard tale with size of the people and size of the example of Krejcie & Margan were 348 people. The data collection was a questionnaire and by a computer program for social science research and the analysis of data has been done by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, statistical hypothesis testing using F-test, one way analysis for variance (One-way ANOVA) and the Least Significant Difference: LSD. In the part of open-ended questions showed the problems, obstacles and suggestions, the researcher arranged the group according to the issues of open- end. Then, there was to analyze by frequency and data from interviews, the researcher will gather data on the essence of the interview, then content analysis technique.
The results showed that
1. The participation of local politics of women in Wangpang sub-district municipality, Wiangnonglong district, Lamphun province was overall at moderate level ( = 2.51).
2. To compare the participation of local politics of women in Wangpang sub-district municipality, Wiangnonglong district, Lamphun province using the hypothesis test by different analysis according to personal factors, including age, educational background, occupation and income it found that age and educational background were not significant differences at 0.01 level. Then accept the hypothesis.
3. The result of the problems, obstacles and suggestions of the participation guidelines of local politics of women in Wangpang sub-district municipality, Wiangnonglong district, Lamphun province. It was included that some women did not emphasize the participation of local politics because local traditions women might be selected the follower, the opinion or the expression might be blocked the belief and succeed to new generation. Something thinks that women cannot do and the local politics role still have not much because elected women in the thinking of community people might be not emphasize to the women. From the last election, the selection of candidates will be identified with the group of local leaders who recruit or to nominate a candidate, the election of someone closes, or people who have common interests as candidates. Women should focus on political participation and more and assertiveness with equal male to be recognized as a local leader by bringing both the advantages and the disadvantages in application towards the political participation of women.
4. The application of Apirihaniyadhamma principle with the participation of local politics of women in Wangpang sub-district municipality found that the key of informant, most of them emphasized the opportunity that was one way for promoting women to participate of local politics. Reflect that the participation of local politics of women can be appeared by providing opportunities for all sectors of the local participation. Working must be the unity, mutual recognition, duty responsibly to avoid glitches, the righteousness performed with equality, having harmony in the working group and did not separate these are males or females for the benefit of community.
