Abstract
This thesis is 3 of objectives, namely:- to study the 6 planes of Insight, to study the Noble Truth of Suffering in practicing the Insight Meditation, to study the method of the determination to know the Noble Suffering in practicing the Insight Meditation. In this study, the researcher, has studied the Doctrinal principles in Theravāda Buddhist Scriptures:-The Three Baskets, the Commentaries, the Sub – Commentaries, and other related scriptures by collecting, analizing and compiling the data and checking the correctness from the experts and the advising teachers. After that, the data were brought to be instructed in order. From the study, it is found.
Vipassanā are the realizations of the states of mind and matter including the arising and the extinguishing of the Mind and Matter in the Three Characteristics with wisdom according to the Three Characteristics and the Truth with wisdom. The Doctrinal organ of Vipassanā is Paññācetasika. The temperaments of Insight that the 6 states of the Insight Meditation are 5 Aggregates, 12 faculties, 18 elements, 22 sense - faculties, 4 Noble Truth, and 12 Dependent Originations. When they are summarized they are only the Form and the Mind by considesing up to the arising of the Wisdom seeing the Doctrinal states which arise, exist and extinguish as they arise and extinguish according to the causes and the factors This fact is called the realization of the states of the mind and matter as appearing in practicing the Insight Meditation, for the purpose of getting rid of the strong attachment up to getting rid of the defilements and the craving, the fact of which is the way to make one’s mind to be pure and be away from the sufferings
From the study, it is found that the Noble Truth of Suffering is of the Characteristic of always disturbing both the body and the mind with usual embellishment the suffering arises from illusion which is the state difficult to bear. There always is the disturbing always changing and uncontroling. When there is a creative factor, it arises and when there is no creative factor, it extinguishes. The suffering is the fact to be know and is the temperament of mindfulness and wisdom Suffering in practicing the Insight Meditation or The temperaments of Insight is Suffering in five Aggregates cause the Upādānakhandhas is Rūpa-Khandha Vedanā-Khandha Saññā- Khandha Saṅkhāra-Khandha Viññāṇa - Khandha cause the suffering to arise, it is summarized in Rūpa, Nāma is state of the Knowledge by in practicing the Insight Meditation
Regarding the method to realize the suffering in practicing the Insight Meditation, it is found that it is the Characteristic touching the bad temperaments with sad spirit, bodily displeasure the fact of which urges one to use to know the truth of the mind and matter and to cause the wisdom to arise by using the principle of 3 Pariññās, namely:- 1. Ñātapariññā:- the wisdom, knowing the suffering as the mind and matter arising according to the cause and the factor. 2. Tiranapariññā, the wisdom about the suffering. It is the consideration of the mind and matter to be realized according to the Truth in the rules of the Three Characteristics (Tilakkhana) : - Impermanence, Suffering and Selflessness. 3 Pahānapariññā, the wisdom at the level of vacating the suffering and the attachments to the five aggregates by killing the defilements of five levels up to seeing the arising and the distinguishing of the mind and matter in the five aggregates which are of suffering up to attaining the Path (Magga), the Result (Phala) and Nibbāna.
