Abstract
The thematic paper “An Analytical Study of Mattaññutā in Tipitaka” had the main purposes: (1) to study Mattaññutā in Tipitaka, and (2) to analyze Mattaññutā for happy life in Tipitaka. This was a qualitative research to collect all data from Tipitaka, academic paper, Buddhist books, and related researches with the descriptive analysis.
A result of this study was found that Mattaññutā meant sufficiency, i.e. appropriation for consummation of four fundamental elements to get the best benefits. To live according to Mattaññutā dealt directly with learning the sufficiency, attaining mindfulness and consciousness, knowing the ability to collect property, and knowing how to pay appropriately in life in order to grow the self-development for the enlightenment.
