Abstract
This thematic paper was the qualitative research with 2 objectives, 1.) to study the Dhamma communication in Buddhist texts in line with Western concept, 2.) to analyze the Dhamma communication use to promote the well-being of Buddhists, This research was the qualitative research collecting data from related texts and in-depth-interview the related target experts, analyzed the contents through roughly and presented the findings by analytical descriptive interpretation.
Findings were as follows: The Buddha send the first 60 disciples to disseminate the wholesome life for the benefits and happiness of human and Deva. the mass. The characteristics of the preachers must be patience, preaching with humble manner, fine conducts, possessed the five qualities of a preacher as 1.) the instruction is regulated and gradually advanced, 2.) reasoning and referring to causality, 3.) teaching out of kindness, 4.) not teaching for worldly gain and 5.) not exalting oneself while contempting others, while the Western communication emphasized two means of communication; by the courier one way and two way communication. Allow the sender and receiver have the opportunity to exchange ideas.
From listening to Dhamma by the preacher, BannonMuang Villagers had begun to develop their ways of life to be knowledgeable, capable, and virtuous in these aspects as behaving themselves according to the five precepts and they practiced the precepts well, except adolescents and children. Bavana 4, development, many villagers understood only Kayabavana and Sila bavana, bodily and precept development, Many of them understood only the Dhamma headline. As for self behavior according to Brahmavihardhamma, villagers understood it well and always practice. As for Sanggahavuddhu 4, villagers always having in mind except Samanattata, even and equal treatment, still lacking and must be further developed
As for duty beholding according to Sammaajiva, right livelihood, Bannonmuang Villagers practice well. The last aspect, Sammaajiva, making living in the right ways as the preacher taught, using approximation, vision, and good friendship according to Buddhadhamma, and to community using Yonisomanasikara and Dhamma principles which were the foundation factors affecting the good livelihoods of BannonMuang villagers in controlling oneself, controlling others and controlling duties which are the main principles of good citizens. The benefits of Dhamma communication is to promote the success in livelihoods of BannonMuang villagers beneficial to themselves, to communities, to Buddhism that helped practitioners to have good health, warm families, lived their lives according the Titthadhammikattaprayod 3, They were the benefit at present, the benefits in front, and the highest benefit.
