Abstract

             The objectives of this thematic paper were to study the concept of the modern theory of the management on the environment and what was reported in the Buddhist literature, and to do the analysis study of the management on the environment in Buddhist perspective. This research was conducted based on Qualitative Research Methodology, acquiring the data from the Pali Canon, academic paper, Buddhist texts, related document and concluding with analysis approaches.

             The result of the study found that the modern theory of the management on environment was the good systematic and effective management. It had plan and proper process in term of the assessment for the total benefit of all. However, for the analysis study of the management on the environment in Buddhist perspective, the study found that there should be the curtain regulation or discipline in the Dhamma-Vinaya which was form the understanding and knowledge in mutual living in the good ecosystem, not making harm to the others. There also should be the fostering the conscious of caring the environment and participation on preserving the natural resources. More importantly, a man should understand that he or she was one part of the environment, so that he could cultivate himself to the liberation.
