Abstract
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the Buddhist leadership in the administration of monks in Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province. 2) To compare the opinions of monks towards their management in Lom Sak District, Petchabun Province. 3) To study the problems, obstacles and suggested impro vements for the Buddhist leadership of the Administrative Organisation in Lom Sak District, Petchabun Province.
This research applied Mixed Methods consisting of quantitative, qualitative and survey research. The sampling for this study consisted of 693 monks and 254 persons in Mahayana section, Phetchabun Province. A questionnaire was used as a research tool with a reliability score of 0.969. Data analysis was also completed using a Processing Program for Social Science. The statistics used in this study were frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and F-Test with one-way ANOVA and least significant difference: LSD to prove the difference between the mean values in pair.
For qualitative research, an in-depth interview with 7 key informants was used with content and context analysis techniques.
The results revealed the following:
1. On average, the monks had a middle level opinion ( =๓.๒๑, S.D.=๐.๙๐๓) towards the Buddhist leadership in the management of monks in the district. By summarizing into different aspects, it was found that on the whole, the opinions for each were at the middle level.
2. Jukkuma (had good vision), Vithura (an expert in management) and Nisayasa mpanno (had good interpersonal relations).
3. The problems, obstacles and suggestions on the Buddhist leadership in the administration of monks in Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province showed that The clergy did apply of technology in the working. Members rarely participated in the formulation of development plans. There should support the person with knowledge of the operation. Head of clergy the lack of good communication with members of the administration. There were friendly to each other between head of clergy and members. The clergy in Lom Sak District, Phetchabun Province can adjudicate fairly when problem happened.
For the suggestions, it is suggested that for Jukkhuma, 1) the administrator should study the needs of the personnel in order to solve the right problem, 2) the administrator should provide the chance for the personnel to give their opinion on the administrative tasks and 3) the administration should allow the personnel to check the transparency. For Vithuro it is suggested that, 1) the administrator should let the personnel participate more on work, 2) the administrator should support the consciousness in order to increase dedication in the organization and 3) the administration should allow the personnel to check for transparency. And lastly, for Nisayasampanno, it is suggested that, 1) the administration should set a good atmosphere in the workplace, 2) the administration should be conscious about the public, help each other and follow the moral rules and 3) the administrator should support the conscious mind in a teamwork working style.
