Abstract
This thesis is of 3 objectives, namely :- 1. to study the viewpoint about Nekkhamma in Theravada Buddhism, 2. to study the method of practicing Nekkhamma-Sukha to arise in Theravada Buddhism and 3. to apply for the way of practicing Nekkhamma-Sukha for Thai societies.
Reseachresult are found:
Nekkhammameans escape from sensual Kăma, practiceto developed out of Kilesa-Kăma and Vatthu-Kăma andcould be divided into 3 periods, namely : 1. before the Buddha’s periods 2. The Buddha peroid and 3. the present time.In the method of Sukha divided into 2 levels, namely:-1) Lokiyasukha such as Kamasukha, Sukha-Rũpajhăna 4, Sukha-Arũpajhăna 4 and 2) Lokuttarasukha such as Saññă vedayitanirodha and Nibbăna.
Practicing Nekkhamma in Buddhism is divided into two methods, namely: 1) Samatha and 2) Vipassană. Furthermore, the Noble Eightfold Path could be applied for true happiness in terms of believing, thinking, doing, speaking and livelihood.
To apply for the way of practicing for Thai societies are divided into two, namely: 1) the bodily Nekkhamma-Sukha which is bodily happinessand 2) the mental Nekkhamma-Sukha which is mental happiness. Whomsoever follow the Buddhist’s way should be more happiness and also mind peaceful. Thus, Samatha, Vipassană and the Noble Eightfold Path are the ways from principle of Buddhism for people to practice leading to successful in life, family and society.
