Abstract

ABSTRACT

 

              These are three objectives of this dissertation namely;1) To study meditation practice in the objective of this research is to study meditation practice in The pheravatha Buddhist, 2) To study meditation practice in the way of phra Bhāvanakhemagun (Surasak Khemarangsi), 3) To study the outcome of meditation model for Buddhist who follow the way of phra Bhāvanakhemagun (Surasak Khaemarangsi). This qualitative research was explained in the study from the field by in-depth interviews.

              The outcome of research was found that;  To focus on the meaning study of insight meditation in the Tripitaka such as the four-noble truths and the meaning of meditation written by phraphamtheerarajmahamunee the research of vipassana means enlightenment on all things and all natures with clear and pure wisdom, without any defilements.

              The type of samatha and vipassana appears in tripitaka Such as samatha lead vipassana insight Meditation, it creates wisdom with 6 titles  and 4 practice styles ; 1) the Tranquility meditation leads to insight meditation 2) the insight Meditation leads to the Tranquility meditation 3) the Tranquility Meditation and the insight meditation come together 4) When the mind is distracted, the practitioners must note it with wisdom. The practice must follow the Discourse of Four Foundations of Mindfulness.

              To study meditation practicce in the way of phraBhāvanakhemagun (Surasak Khaemarangsi) and found that pure vipassana is put in the right mindfulness and mindfulness in satipatthana 4

              To study the outcome of meditation practice model for Buddhist following in the way of phra Bhavanakhemagun (Surasak Khaemarangsi) which found that it has five steps of mediatation practice.The first step is  to know the Pańńatti(designation),the second step is to know the Paramattha Dhamma(ultimate realities),the third step is to know general Paramattha-Dhamma(ultimate realities), the fourth step is to know everything without attachment,the fifth step is to know about  Vimutti(liberation from defilement).
