ABSTRACT

This dissertation aims at the analytical study  about the prediction in Thai Astrological principles related to the Law  of Kamma  in Theravāda Buddhism. The objectives of this  study  are:- 1) To study the composition of Thai Astrological prediction 2) To  study  the Law of Kamma in Theravāda Buddhism. 3) To purpose the relationship between the Law of Kamma and the prediction in our life styles.                      

This research is conducted with the “Documentary Research” and the deep interviews. From the study, it can be found that, the prediction by Thai Astrological principle, means the estimation  of something that would happen at the different time based on the knowledge of the star movements.  The principles  of  Kamma are the specific laws:- which are conclude in kamma-niyama, mean order of act and result, In Theravāda Buddhism the effect of Kamma will happen by the strenght,  the duties and the time.

From the analytical study, the relationship between the prediction in Thai Astrology principles  and the laws  of Kamma is the “time” Thai Astrology can show  both satisfy and unsatisfy  for the period of time. It’s depend on the time that people can have good luck or bad luck which are  the effects of  their own Kammas. They have to concentrate  to solve or to avoid the problem that might be able to occur in their lives. 

The Astrology can show  some details about the Birth Chart, the good astrologers can give proper advices to the people that who can apply for  the most benefits in the way of their lives. The prediction according the Thai  Astrology principles will help them  to have the ideas for their own birth chart which link to their own Kammas  which never change.
