ABSTRACT

The objectives of this research were 1) to study the concepts about  the development for propagation of  Buddhism by the meditation practice  centers in Ayutthaya province 2) to analysis the generality of the development of model for propagation of  Buddhism by the meditation practice  centers in Ayutthaya province 3) to present the trend to develop model for propagation of  Buddhism by the meditation practice  centers in Ayutthaya province.  The researcher used the mixed research method comprising both qualitative and quantitative approach. For the quantitative research, the study was conducted by collecting the data with  questionnaire from 371 persons. The simple size was selected by simple random sampling.  For qualitative research, the study was conducted by in-depth interviewing from 25 key informants, Focus Group Discussion and  Non-Participant Observation.

The research findings were as follows:

1) The development of model for propagation of  Buddhism by the meditation practice  centers in Ayutthaya province got to the point to gave knowledge for the people to understand the Dhamma and applied to the daily life such as gave a sermon , speech in many places and mass.

2) The generality of the development of model for propagation of  Buddhism by the meditation practice  centers in Ayutthaya province were separate the residence by sex with clean ,  good atmosphere  and suitable place for make merit , Moreover the instructors were deep understanding in Dhamma  and the leader was a leadership which cleared in the propagation.

3) The trend to develop model for propagation of  Buddhism by the meditation practice  centers in Ayutthaya province were propagation by the monks who speech out from the heart with good characteristic by not read the book to share.  The propagation model were harmony with the nature such as many trees which made the place were shady and calm.
