Abstract
The objectives of this research were to study current environment, achievement of educational institution administration using Threefold Training Principle, and development method of educational institution administration using Threefold Training principle in the leading Buddhism Oriented Schools of Surin and Buriram provinces. The research methodologies used were document studies, observation, question, and interview. Three research instruments were used; they were 1) observation form used for collecting current information from 7 leading Buddhism Oriented Schools in Surin and Buriram provinces 2) questionnaire used for questioning 94 teachers and 317 students’ guardians 3) interview form used for interviewing 7 school administrators, 7 teachers, and 5 Buddhist monks. Data analysis was done by description. The results were as follows:
The current environment of the leading Buddhism Oriented Schools in Surin and Buriram provinces were as follows; the samples were existed more than fifty years; community around the educational institution was semi-urban community; the majority of people were agricultural careers, believed in Buddhism, accomplished primary schools, and got an average of a family incomes 20,000 to 60,000 Baht per year; within the educational institutions, there were good buildings and atmospheres, 8 personnel at the lowest rate and 26 at the highest rate, B.A. educational qualification at the lowest level and M.A. at the highest level, 112 students at the lowest rate and 367 at the highest rate; administrative structure was divided into 4 aspects i.e. academic administration, budget administration, personnel administration, and general administration; there were formulation of schools’ vision, mission, goal, identity, and uniqueness; there were the development methods and strategies; the operation was done according to schools’ strategic plan and the administration was driven by using Threefold Training Principle.
Three aspects of educational administration achievement using Threefold Training Principle in the leading Buddhism Oriented Schools in Surin and Buriram provinces were found as follows; 1) the school’s identity was in excellent level, and satisfaction assessment of personnel and students’ guardian to the school’s identity was in very good level 2) the schools had been qualified in very good level by Office for National Education Standard and Quality Assessment Public Organization (ONESQA), and satisfaction assessment of personnel to the quality of educational institution administration Using Threefold Training principle was in very good level 3) the educational institution administration using Threefold Training principle was found that; there were enough administrative resources and the principle of the Threefold Training was integrated in administrative processes; the community got befits from development of the Buddhism Oriented Schools; and satisfaction assessment of personnel and students’ guardian to educational institution administration was in very good level.
Three development methods of educational institution administration using Threefold Training principle in the leading Buddhism Oriented Schools of Surin and Buriram provinces were found as follows; 1) development methods on identity of the Buddhism Oriented Schools were found that the schools must sustainably continue to develop those identities’ indicators which were accomplished; the schools must take action those identities’ indicators which have not been done by utilizing the proposed development ways i.e. the physical aspect, the behaviors aspect of students, teachers, and administrators, the aspect of the Buddhist holidays’ activities, the promotion aspect of Buddhist way of life, and the aspect of learning and teaching; 2) development methods on educational administration quality of the educational institutions can be operated by utilizing the proposed development methods in various aspects i.e. the aspects of learners’ quality, educational management, learning society construction, educational institution identities, and promotion measures; 3) development methods on educational institution administration using the Threefold Training were found that the school should manage the physical and social aspects based on the principle of Sila, administrators should be good friend to personnel, there should be activities to develop mind’s capacity, quality, and health, there should be continuous activities to develop personnel and students’ wisdom 2) in the community, the schools and the various institutions in the communities should have cooperation to solve problems occurred within the communities, preserve and inherit a good culture and tradition of the communities.
