Abstract
This research is of both qualitative and quantitative one. There are 3 objectives: - 1) to study the concepts of the self-development according to Theravada Buddhism and the Systematic Theory 2) to develop the Self-Development System for achieving the Ultimate Goal according to the Theravada Buddhism 3) to propose the form of the Self-Development System in daily lives in order to support the ultimate goal according to Theravada Buddhism.
The research results are found that:-
(1) The concepts, the principles and the process of Dhamma for the Self- Development are based on the belief that the human beings have the potentiality to learn, to practice and to develop themselves. There are Four Noble Truths covering all the Dhamma principles. There are the principles of the self-development for practicing according the Middle Path and the three characteristics. There are the processes of practice by the group of Ähära-Vijä-Vimutti which show the internal qualities that occur in order. There are 5 characteristics of the self- development that correspond with the characteristics of the system which that can be integrated with The Systematic Theory for the self-development according to the Theravada Buddhism system.
(2) The Self-Development System to achieve the ultimate goal according to Theravada Buddhism caused by the integration process of Ähära-Vijä-Vimutti and the Systematic Theory at 5 steps: - 1) the system analysis 2) the system synthesis 3) the system designs 4) the system verification 5) the system improvement. The result of this integration is the structural of the System-Development of prototype according to Buddhism which can explain the relationship of the minor various organs in the process of development from the start to achieving their ultimate goal. This will lead to the improvement or the development of practical ways to be more efficient.
(3) The results from proposing the model of the Self-Development System in daily life to promote the Ultimate goal of Theravada Buddhism and applied to the exemplary group in order to understand as follow:-
- The exemplary group is to understand the principles and the methods of application the Self-Development System in daily lives as well as understand how to use the properties of Self-Development Assessment to measure the accuracy and the advances increasing with statistical significance at 0.05
- The exemplary group is satisfied with the Self-Development System in their daily lives two times at “good” level.
The model of the Self-Development System in daily lives causes the present benefit, the foreground benefit and the ultimate benefit that arise to the Buddhists who have good faith in the Triple Gem as the base which was created as a tool for understanding the principles and the methods to apply the Self-Development System to oneself including use of this model to measure the properties of the Self-Development System for checking the accuracy and the progress in the practicing when it is applied to the exemplary group to be used according to the set up purposes.
