ABSTRACT
This thesis is of the objectives to study the Buddha’s conduct appearing in the Buddhist scriptures, to study the Doctrinal principle of the Buddhacariyas and to study the analyzation of Buddhacariyā appearing in the Budhakicca 45 years. This study is a qualitative research one emphasizing the documentary research.
The results of the research are as follows :-
From the study, it is found that the Buddhacariyā means the ethics in making the benefits by the Buddha. Such benefits are of 2 characteristics, namely :- the Buddha’s ethics in practising the daily duty and the Buddha’s activities through 45 years which are Lokatthacariyā, , Ñātatthacariyā and Buddhatthacariyā. The importance of the Buddhguna in virtues, qualities or attributes of the Buddha and the Buddha’s ethics in practicing the daily duty will show the importance of Buddhacariyā.
The Dhamma and the Vinaya which the Buddha taught and enacted in the Doctrinal principles which are what to be practised all of these mentioned doctrines will show the relationship between the Buddhacariyā and the Dhamma-Vinaya.
The carrying out of the Buddha’s action causes to arise the principle of practice. The Buddha used principles of work in spreading and founding the root of teachings. On the other hand, the Buddha had the method of approaching the leaders of the communities and fixed the way of changing this teaching to be easy and to cause the people to understand it.
At present, we can bring the Buddha’s ethics to be practised properly according to the age. The Buddha could build up the peace among the different views with the peaceful method.
The analyzation of Buddhacariyā appearing in the Buddhukicca 45 years in the 3 Buddha’s ethics namely : - The method of practice to help the world people in the first year after His attaining the enlightenment. Then, He sent a monk to go to one place to spread Buddhism in one place for the benefit and the happiness to many people. This shows that Buddhism is the religion belonging to the people. The method of practice to help His relatives the fact of which is called Ñātattha-Cariyā. The Buddha preached the Dhammas to His 2 sides of relative : the father’s side and the mather’s side. In the method of practicse in the way of helping the others as He was the Buddha, He was egoism up to the appearance of the state of being the great teacher.
