Objectives of this research were, 1. To study the duty performance efficiency of Bangkok Assistant Law Enforcement Officers, 2. To study the mean of Buddhadhamma integration for duty efficiency development of Bangkok Assistant City Law Enforcement Officers and 3. To propose a model of Buddhadhamma integration for duty efficiency development of Bangkok Assistant City Law Enforcement Officers.
Methodology was the mixed method; The qualitative research collected data from 25 key informants, purposefully selected, with the structured in-depth-interview, by face-to-face-interviewing. Data were analyzed by descriptive interpretation. The quantitative research collected data from 400 samples who were registered residents of Rajadevi, Patumwan, Bangsue, Bangkapi, Bangplad and Pasicharoern Districts with questionnaires and analyzed data by descriptive statistics; frequency, percentile, mean and standard deviation, SD.
Findings were as follows:
1. Duty performance efficiency of Bangkok City Law Enforcement Officers in the following aspects: Orderly management; providing conveniences for footpaths travelling, enforcing the laws to avoid indirect problems. Bangkok City has the clear policy of public places using. Security and Safety Management; supporting Police force by monitoring areas, security and safety services, conveniences facilitating and risk taking in public places surveillance day and night. Traffic Control Assistance; Assistant City Law Enforcement Officers are assistant to the traffic police officers. They are not traffic control officers. They have to be careful in this matter, Since there is no law supporting this duty. Anyhow, the Assistant City Law Enforcement Officers should have adequate necessary equipment for traffic control assistance. Tourism Services; providing conveniences and safety to tourists. At the same time, they act as the representatives of Bangkok City in public relations, safety and orderly services. Other Special Duties; The Assistant City Law Enforcement Officers, ACLEO, are supporting force to other units such as police, fire police, rescue officers, electricity officers and water supply officers, etc.
2. The Buddhadhamma integration with the duty Performance by overall was at high level; ranging from high to low average were that Sila, precept integration with orderly management, Khanti, patience, with safety services, Piyavacha, sweet words, with tourism service, Attichariya, helpfulness, with other special duties and the least level of integration was Metta, loving kindness, with traffic control assistance.
3. The model of Buddhadhamma integration for duty performance efficiency of the Bangkok Assistant City Law Enforcement Officers can be coined as Big CAMP Model which coincided with Bangkok City policy to build Bangkok the livable and visitable city as:
B=Behavior is Sila, the control of physical, verbal and mindful behaviors for duty performance according to Bangkok policy to provide the opportunity for every body to use the public places safely by internal control such as promoting personnel to participate in virtual training with Mahachulalongkorn University and by general control for good behavior with general people.
C=Control is Khanti, patience, being patient in duty performance, being patient in an averse environment and being patient with street peddlers and general people.
A=Action is Metta, loving kindness, the act of helping, well wishing such as helping easing out the morning and evening traffic with the public safety in mind.
M=Morality is politely and sincerely speaking, speaking only beneficial words, creating good human relations with smiling, good manner, and public relations by showing directions to places for tourists and other travelers, helping tourists sincerely as if they were close relatives and knowing places.
P=Public Mind is voluntary mind, being eager to perform duties, eager to help others by regular public place surveillance for people safety.
