This research aims to 1) study the present states of work administration of
police stations for people services; 2) Analyze problems of work administration of
police stations for people services; and 3) Present model of work administration
development in line with Buddhist principle of police stations for people services.
The qualitative method was carried out in this study. 25 key informants were
interviewed in this research. The research instrument was in-depth interview
schedule.In addition, 9 high ranking police officials and Buddhist scholars constituted
the group discussion. The data were analyzed by content analysis technique.
The findings of this study are concluded as follows:
1. The real states of work administration of people service Police Stations
have found that the general states of administration have faced inadequate amount
of manpower, resulting in the carried out services not meeting the people’s
requirements and characteristics of policemen not ready for services and surrounding
environments, inadequate places and technology, lack of administrative efficiency
and trustfulness towards discriminative practices with criminal justices. These states
of problems are not solved as people expected. The traffic problems are not related
to the real situations.
2. For analysis of the problems relating to work administration of people
service Police Stations, it is found that states of old and decayed Police Stations
reflect the lack of maintenance, a lot of criminal cases, the weakness of civic system
and law enforcement system, spread of drug, physical damage, asset stealing, unsafe
life and asset of people.
3. Regarding the model of work administration development in line with
Buddhist principle of people service police stations, it found that the model of work
administration consists of administration and general services, criminal justice
facilities, protection of life and assets, traffic control and management, and
personnel administration and development. These work administration have been
integrated with Sappurisadhamma (qualities of a good man), namely, knowing the
law, knowing the meaning, knowing oneself, knowing how to be temperate, knowing
the proper time, knowing the assembly and knowing the individual. |
