Abstract

               This research study aims to study the role of Sangha’s administrator(s) in Hua-hin district, Prajaubkhirikhan Province in three aspects; the role of Sangha in the Sangha community administration, the comparative study of the Sangha’s attitude toward the administration by classifying individual factor and the study of administration problem. Moreover, the Thesis also provides the most-likely appropriate suggestion for the identified problems.

              The sample populations are the member of Sangha community. These are monks, novices and nuns residing in the monastery. Moreover, laypeople are also included in the sample. Questionnaires are used as the tool for collecting data. Statistical software is used as analytical tool in order to figure out the frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. In addition, the F-Test is analyzed by the “One-way analysis of variance” approach. The result indicates the rate of confidence as 0.9670.


Research Result

1. The role of Sangha administrator in administration aspect in Hua-Hin district, Prajaubkhirikhan Province. The result in general indicates high level regarding the role. Specifically, the administration aspect is on the highest level whereas educational support is on the lowest level.

             2. The comparative attitude of Sangha toward the administration is classified by personal characteristic; age, educational background and level of Dhamma and Pali studies. The result point out that these classifications have no outstanding difference concerning the role of Sangha administrator. However, the research point out that the difference of Sangha position could slightly make different to the role of administrator.

          3. The research gives the Sangha advices as followed; 1) the Sangha should recognize the Sangha act in order to improve the effectiveness of controlling the Sangha community 3) The Sangha should provide more educational supports and guidance regarding appropriate behavior(s) in accordance with the Buddhist traditions.
